We’re delighted to announce that many fantastic new features and improvements have been introduced to SchoolPing and DB Primary - Read on to find out more!

DB Primary - People tab to be renamed ‘Members’

For consistency purposes, the ‘People’ tab in Communities will be renamed to ‘Members’. We have also added a ‘Manage’ button within the members area which will provide easy access to the manage membership area.

DB Primary - Disable DB functionality for individuals or groups

Staff and admins are now able to toggle on/off certain DB features for groups, or individual users. This includes, mugshots, nicknames, webmail and file uploads.

SchoolPing – Staff can send messages directly from the app

Staff can now send SchoolPing messages directly from the app to parents or colleagues, including attachments!

SchoolPing – Create your own Form templates!

Create banks of commonly used form templates and quickly attach these to messages to parents or staff – template forms can be created, edited and cloned, ready to be added to messages as needed.

SchoolPing - Payment reporting

Reconcile your WorldPay statements with your SchoolPing transactions and accounting categories.

Payment categories can be created in the Payment Settings area and used to categorise your payment items. Your categories can be then used to create specific reports (there is a new Reports sub-menu item under Payment) that detail the type of payment made (wallet, card, refund, manual) who has made the payments and how much was paid within a chosen date range.

SchoolPing - App lockout security feature

An extra security precaution will be added to the SchoolPing app in the form of a passcode lockout.

The passcode lockout feature is optional and can be setup at first login or in the app settings. The passcode is a 4-digit code that must be entered if the app has been idle for more than 10 minutes.
